Student Leaders Recognized for Contributions to Student Life
The third annual Student Leadership Recognition Ceremony was held in Club 213 on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Ross Danaher, Director of Library Services, was the Master of Ceremonies.
Student Government members as well as outstanding class and student leaders at Loyalist College were recognized for their leadership contributions to student life by receiving a Pollitt Award.
In 2007, the Loyalist Student Government named the awards after Fred Pollitt, Director of Student Life, for his 12 years of solid commitment and exceptional contributions to student life. Fred is an incredible mentor by providing invaluable guidance and encouragement to countless students who as a result become exemplary leaders. Fred is the inspirational leader behind many remarkable events and stellar campus improvements at Loyalist College. Similar qualities of leadership and dedication are demonstrated by the students who receive this award – students whose involvement and activities enrich the quality of life at Loyalist College.
