Being a First Year Leader is a great way to get involved and help voice the opinions of fellow first year students. It gives me a chance in being a part of making a difference and helping make the College a better place to learn.
Tell us a bit about yourself and the experience you will bring to Student Government.
I have formly taken the past year off to explore my options and get to know myself better. I had made it through tryouts and danced for McMaster's Urban Dance Company. Here I learned how to take initiative and teach others, while also being a team player by learning from the fellow members of my company. Being a dancer, I have become comfortable in front of a crowd and able to take criticism. I look forward in learning about the fellow students at Loyalist and making our future college years memorable.
What do you believe is the biggest issue the Student Government will need to address this year?
Being here for only a few weeks, I haven't been able to explore many issues with the College. A concern I find many driving students have, is finding a convenient parking spot on a daily basis.
If you had an opportunity to improve just one thing at Loyalist, what would it be?
Student parking would be an issue I would try to improve.
How would you address the following question if asked by a Loyalist student during the campaign.
Without voting, your voice is not heard. Changes cannot be made or addressed if issues are not brought to attention. With voting, you can feel you're a part of something, and you're helping make a difference.
