My Duties & Responsibilities

  • Bring concerns, opinions, ideas and suggestions from your fellow classmates to the attention of my School Leader.
  • Inform my School Leader of any academic issues.
  • Relay academic information as well as information on services and upcoming events from Student Government to the students in my program to keep them completely informed.
  • Attend monthly Dean's Committee meetings chaired by your Dean and School Leader. If I am unable to attend, I will find a substitute from my program and let my School Leader know that I will not be making it. The purpose of these meetings is to:
    • Provide a forum for students to discuss issues and ideas relating to the College in general, academics and student life.
      • Topics pertaining to college life may include:
        • Facilities Enhancement
        • Washrooms
        • Classrooms
        • Services
      • Academic topics may include:
        • Curriculum content
        • Learning resources
        • Scheduling
        • Faculty
      • Student Life topics may include:
        • Live entertainment
        • Pub Night themes
        • Semi Formal themes
    • Maintain communication on issues that require attention.
  • Routinely complete the Classroom Conditions Checklist and advise my School Leader of any issues pertaining to Facilities Services, Audio Visual Department, Information Technology Services, etc.
  • If I withdraw from my duties for any reason, I will let my School Leader know so that a new representative can be assigned immediately.
  • Maintain contact with my School Leader and Dean by reviewing and responding to email communication. If I do not respond to email communication when requested to in a timely manner (three business days), a new representative may be assigned.
  • Introduce myself to January start students in my program (if applicable).
