On Thursday, February 14, 2008 the Loyalist College Career Centre officially opened. The Centre is accessible for students, graduates, and employers visiting the College.

The relocation of Employment and Alumni Services from room 1H16 to room 2H3 was a priority for the Student Government since 1997. Over the years, the Student Government expressed continuous support in the relocation initiative, as it would provide a:

• “One Stop Experience” for students, as all student services would be in one area (ie. Student Access Lab, Student Success Hub, Library, Financial Aid, Admissions, etc.)
• High traffic & inviting location
• An increase in graduate & employer satisfaction rates due to the ability to screen & interview job applicants on-campus
• An increase in recruitment & retention of students

The new Career Centre is available to assist students, graduates and employers in the following areas:

• Resumé Writing
• Job & Career Search 
• Workshops
• Employers in the Hall
• & more
