Extracurricular Activities/How are you involved on campus?

My favourite things about Loyalist
I like how its smaller - you're an actual person. Teachers are very personable. I like the campus - I like how it's in the woods. It's a lot nicer to wake up to sunlight and snowflakes and forest instead of buildings in the city.

My Orientation experience
The drumming circle was cool and how we spelled out "Loyalist" for Google Earth - it's kind of cool to think if you googled "Loyalist," I'm in the bottom part of the "L."

Why I enjoy working on campus
Because it's convenient and I've made a lot of friends and acquaintances working here.

My favourite place to hang out on campus
My apartment hanging out with roommates - it feels like home or Residence Commons because of the big comfy couches.

What do you enjoy doing your free time?

  • listening to music
  • surfing the web
  • hanging out with friends

Why I chose Loyalist/program?

My dad went here and I looked around at other schools' radio programs and heard that Loyalist had the best.

My favourite Loyalist professor
I don't have a favourite - I love all my professors because they're all so much fun.

My favourite Loyalist class/Most interest class taken so far
First semester - Evolution of Music
I personally really loved it because it talked about the history of music and I'm a music junkie so it was interesting.

My favourite Loyalist service
I like SAL (Student Access Lab) when I'm waiting for my next class if I have something to print off - it's really convenient for the next class.

My favourite pub night
I really liked Thunderstruck.

What advice do you have to offer students on staying balanced between their academic responsibilities and social life?
Don't let your roommates distract you. Naps will become your best friend.

Why I recommend Loyalist to other students?
I like the environment and it's kind of cool - On the second floor you go from the auto mechanics garage to the bake lab to the spa to the radio station to the TV studio. It's very diverse!

My post-graduate plans
Working at a radio station, Q107 Toronto or voice acting for cartoons.
