This fee goes to the general operating budget for the radio station. Revenue from this fee accounts for approximately 35% of the overall budget. CJLX provides students of Loyalist College a voice in the community and provides a unique blend of programming to the Quinte community as a whole. Participation with the radio station is an opportunity open to any full time student at Loyalist.

Increase from 2008-2009: $2
The increase is the result of the increased cost of doing business coupled with a downturn in advertising revenue due to the current economic climate. Cost increases to operate the station within the next year include:
- increased hourly rate for students who work on the management team and summer crew
- increased rent at transmitter site
- increase in royalty fees paid to artists/composers & publishers
- increased insurance costs
* The fee is non-refundable after 10 business days from the start of the term.
A Fee is charged per year for all full time students at the Belleville campus.
The Fee is to be paid at the start of the first term.
For each new intake during the academic year, the rates are adjusted.
